So I dont need StarPort and StarWind on both systems, just one on each? Exactly. To be more precise you should install StarPort everywhere you want to use shared devices, StarWind - everywhere these devices are located. I went into the Conf file on starwind and added each of the drives I wanted to ...

Re: IP address

I have downloaded the most current versions from the site of Startport/wind. I am trying to get starport to recognize the local drives and the LAN (remote) drives. I did go into the conf file to add the drives, but get lost on the IP address. I have gone in and checked the lan address and the physi...

I was using the Windows Service Manager GUI. Did not work until I rebooted. In any case, will keep a lookout if I do get to test it on another machine. This is really strange. I changed my configuration as you did and tried to restart the service both from console and Services MMC snap-in. In both ...

Change this line to:

./iscsi_config up ip=$IP port=3260 host=1 lun=0

Also I passed "host=" and "target=" parameters to each "iscsi_manage init" call. But I do not known if it is required indeed.

Re: StarWind configuration

Hi, StarWindService.exe itself supports access to physical devices through SPTI (SCSI Pass Through Interface). In other words it is IDE, SCSI and USB hard drives and DVD/CD drives and SCSI tapes and scanners. Plugins provide support of other devices: - RamDisk.dll - creates RAM disks; - ImageFile.dl...

Re: Cannot get Physicaldisk's to show up

Dave, 2.) Is there a 1024 limit on the RAM drive (This appears to be the case when I access it from the client)? 1024MB limit on the RAM drive has been removed. If you want to test this functionality write me (lx@rocketdivision.com) - I will send you updated installation. Now RAM disk supports up to...

BTW, this requirement is not so strict. You can use files of any size. Not aligned tail it won't be used.

Re: Problems with NTBACKUP

Hobe,
please change "-l0" parameter to "-l1".
Actually it would be much better if you set the logging level to 3 - all messages (i.e. -l3) and repeat the problem. Then I will have much more detalied information. Thank you.
