Wakefield, MA – April 8, 2013 - StarWind Software Inc., an innovative provider of storage virtualization software, announced today that it has signed a strategic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partnership agreement with WD, a world leader in external storage and connected home solutions. Under the terms of this agreement, the released software upgrade v1.5.7.30 adds the new ability for WD Sentinel™ DX4000 small office storage server to act as an iSCSI target. The support for iSCSI Storage Area Network (SAN) with newly introduced iSCSI target capability is powered by StarWind™.
With the integrated solution, customers will benefit from a comprehensive set of mission critical storage services, including active-active failover, mirroring, replication, snapshot, and a key-based authentication feature to ensure an unparalleled level of business continuity, off-site disaster recovery capability, and total storage access security.
