Olin Corporation enhances its overall productivity by creating a virtual clustered environment with StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN)
CHALLENGE
Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, Olin Corporation lacked the capability to establish a virtual clustered environment. This limitation prevented the company from efficiently harnessing the benefits of virtualization for its operations. Particularly, the absence of available Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions hindered the company’s ability to create a cohesive and resilient clustered setup for its virtual machines.
StarWind VSAN was selected primarily due to a strong recommendation from the vendor, which held a reputation for delivering reliable and efficient solutions.
The resulting infrastructure is currently satisfying our plans because we were able to implement a reliable StarWind solution within our infrastructure.

SOLUTION
By deploying StarWind VSAN, Olin Corporation was finally able to establish a virtual clustered environment. Previously isolated virtual machines could now be integrated into a cluster, fostering better resource utilization, higher availability, and streamlined management.
The resulting infrastructure powered by StarWind VSAN meets and even exceeds the requirements of Olin Corporation. The success of the StarWind solution has positioned Olin Corporation for further expansion. The company plans to extend the StarWind VSAN implementation to 39 different plants.
