Daikin Vietnam fosters long-term sustainability and growth by overcoming IT infrastructure complexity and inflexibility with StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA)
CHALLENGE
Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), Daikin Vietnam had an IT infrastructure that consisted of physical Hyper-V servers, storage, SAN, plus backup software. The company had issues with the complexity of the existing infrastructure because all its parts were provided by different vendors. The situation was aggravated by the use of multiple Fibre Channel SAN switches and a host bus adapter (HBA) for ensuring input/output (I/O) processing and physical connectivity between servers and the SAN.
Moving to hyperconvergence could solve the existing problems of IT infrastructure’s complexity and inflexibility.
StarWind HCA is easy in deployment, cost-effective, has a single console of management with GUI.

SOLUTION
Daikin Vietnam deployed StarWind HCI Appliance to unify servers, disks, flash, and associated software into a single manageable layer. With it, the company obtained flexible support of multiple hypervisors and the ability to scale its environment out.
With StarWind HCI Appliance, Daikin Vietnam received a true “plug-and-play” IT infrastructure building block, achieving the desired high availability at a reasonable price. StarWind support engineers were experienced and professional to provide all the assistance required. The company is going to expand with StarWind for its virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) project.
