CHALLENGE

Before deploying StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), DevMecca relied on a large collection of hardware servers, which were costly to maintain and lacked the flexibility of a virtualized environment. To modernize its IT infrastructure, DevMecca invested $300,000 in new hardware capable of virtualizing its entire enterprise using Microsoft Hyper-V. Initially, they implemented Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) on the new hardware but encountered a critical bug in the Cluster-Aware Updating (CAU) feature.

DevMecca realized the need for a more reliable solution that could ensure their business continuity without significantly reducing downtimes.
