CHALLENGE

Before implementing StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), The Children’s Foundation relied on a traditional IT infrastructure, which included a physical SAN and multiple hosts within a VMware environment. However, this infrastructure was inadequate for the Foundation’s demanding software requirements, potentially necessitating substantial hardware investments.

These challenges posed significant roadblocks, affecting the organization’s ability to efficiently manage and deliver services to the children and families it serves.

StarWind VSAN leverages existing server hardware, potentially reducing the cost associated with purchasing specialized storage hardware. We will give the score 5/5.

SOLUTION

StarWind VSAN enabled The Children’s Foundation to deploy a two-node hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI). This approach proved to be both simple and cost-effective, making it an ideal solution for a non-profit organization. The implementation of StarWind VSAN dramatically improved The Children’s Foundation’s IT infrastructure.

StarWind VSAN’s efficient architecture not only guaranteed business continuity but also sustained storage performance without the need for additional hardware investments. As a result, The Children’s Foundation overcame the infrastructure limitations that had previously hindered its operations.
