PROBLEM

Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, Auchan Magyarorszag Kft. intended to introduce new point of sale (POS) systems into 19 of its hypermarkets around the country. With the imperative of ensuring seamless monetary transactions, downtime was simply not an option. The companys plan to implement 2node storage clusters for 2node Microsoft Hypervirtualization clusters in each location required a costefficient shared storage solution. This involved deploying Dell Servers with direct connections between each pair for iSCSI communication.

The conventional NAS or SAN options were too expensive for the companys needs.

We were able to build 2-node storage clusters based on virtualization in 19 hypermarkets without any problems and with high cost-efficiency.

SOLUTION

Auchan Magyarorszag Kft. chose StarWind VSAN as it offered constant uptime and fault tolerance in a true 2node scenario. Its compatibility with industrystandard protocols like iSCSI and NVMe– oF enabled the company to deploy faulttolerant storage pools and achieve highspeed performance in all 19 locations without exceeding budget constraints.

This implementation provided a reliable and cost– effective solution to support the companys nePOS systems and ensured uninterrupted operations across its hypermarkets.
