Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, Bosch Security and Safety Systems struggled to deliver high availability (HA) for their well-known security and surveillance solution, the Bosch Building Integration System (BIS). Lack of HA shared storage led to downtime and potential failures, posing a risk to the reliability of a security and surveillance infrastructure. Traditional iSCSI or FC SAN shared storage is expensive and complex to configure.
