CHALLENGE

Before the deployment of StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), Integral IT Services operated with two stand-alone Hyper-V hosts and wanted to offer virtual machine (VM) hosting as a service to its clients. To achieve this, it needed to transition to a clustered environment.

However, its current setup lacked the necessary capabilities for storage synchronization required for a clustered high-availability configuration. The absence of a clustered environment posed a hindrance to its expansion plans and its ability to provide reliable VM hosting services.

StarWind fit our budget while also providing the basic functionality we needed.

SOLUTION

By implementing StarWind VSAN, Integral IT Services was able to leverage its existing hardware and establish inter-node storage synchronization. This allowed to create a clustered environment, enabling seamless failover of VMs between the two Hyper-V hosts.

With StarWind’s solution in place, the company successfully clustered its servers, ensuring high availability and efficient VM hosting services. Looking ahead, Integral IT Services plans to further leverage StarWind VSAN’s capabilities to support its future growth.
