PROBLEM

Before implementing StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), Kelly Aerospace had a small older PC-based server farm with no redundancy or reliable backup solutions. It was built and added on through the years with no real growth plan. So, the company needed to replace its existing servers with a plan for future growth and redundancy. Kelly Aerospace did look briefly at several providers, but after viewing some demos and taking advice from someone that was using StarWind at the time, they ultimately chose StarWind and could not be happier.

SOLUTION

Kelly Aerospace has chosen StarWind HCA as it seemed a very practical, easy-to-manage, and out-of-the-box turnkey solution. To accomplish the same thing without StarWind would have been a very large task involving many different technologies and external specialists to set up. Being a very small IT department, this was not feasible and would have cost exponentially more in the long run. StarWind HCA gave the company the newer technologies that the old PC-based servers could never offer them. Also, the critical issue of redundancy was fixed. As the business does grow, Kelly Aerospace feels confident that StarWind can help them meet needs and new requirements going forward.
