CHALLENGE

Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), PBS Systems relied on a mix of Open-E storage nodes and Microsoft Storage Spaces servers with multiple JBODs over a 10GB network, accessed by a Microsoft Hyper-V cluster. This setup involved multiple aging storage systems from various vendors, resulting in inconsistent performance, high maintenance costs, and a lack of reliability. Additionally, the infrastructure lacked automatic monitoring and callback features, meaning potential issues weren’t identified proactively,increasing the risk of downtime.

The company sought a solution that could consolidate storage systems.
