Scale your capacity easily using Cloudian HyperStore, the most fully compatible, full-featured, S3 object storage array.     Compared to bolt-on file/block APIs on top of S3, the solution offers considerably higher performance. No Read-Modify-Write access patterns. No sub-object changes: one tape = one object. Virtual Tapes are used in WORM (Write Once Read Many) mode. Enterprise Data Protection Storage with StarWind and Cloudian seamlessly replaces or augments your existing tape backup infrastructure with storage that’s more efficient and scalable, that lowers the CapEx and OpEx, decreases the RTO and RPO and keeps company data compliant with regulations.

  • Zero-change integration

    The solution integrates into any existing backup infrastructure. It achieves that because 99.9% of backup applications use tape as a backup target or as primary archive storage. The VTL interface allows any legacy or modern system to work with object storage, with zero backup policy changes or upgrades.

  • Ransomware resiliency

    Virtual Tape is an offline media. Once ejected, there’s no access without proprietary APIs. This is a massive security advantage over file/block/S3 access. Also, note that infected data cannot get outside the virtual tape container.
