StarWind Software Inc. Announces Results for the First Quarter of 2011
StarWind Software booked revenue increases 162%Burlington, Mass. – April 15, 2011 - StarWind Software, a global leader in storage software and a pioneer in iSCSI storage, today reports results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2011, which ended March 31, 2011. Total revenue grew 162% in Q1 of 2011 over the same period in 2010, revenue increased by 310% compared with the first quarter of 2009.
Sales of StarWind iSCSI SAN software geographically were distributed as follows: 54% in USA and LATAM with 46% in EMEA and APAC. Income in the first quarter of 2011 amounted to 29% of the company's revenue of fiscal year 2010.
Other highlights of StarWind’s progress in Q1 include:
- Products – StarWind iSCSI SAN Software released version 5.6 that protects data with redundancy across two storage nodes in High Availability mode and provides new interface features to simplify time intensive storage management tasks. Also added is a new experimental version of inline block level Data Deduplication: allowing fewer disks to be used, as only unique blocks of data are stored to disk. The management applications GUI has been re-focused to provide a far simpler approach and additional clarity to the user experience. The StarWind event log monitors the state of the iSCSI SAN. Advanced event notification provides alerts by e-mail, records to the Microsoft Windows Event Log and to text files.
- Partners – Today StarWind Software has more than 270 channel partners worldwide and has signed partnership agreements with RoDelta Business Solutions, the leading provider of business software solutions for medium sized companies in Romania; with OnApp, a leading developer of cloud management software for hosting and with Compesco IT solutions, a leading provider of the best IT management solutions for customers in Eastern Europe.
- Awards – StarWind Software Inc. is nominated for Storage Product of the Year for StarWind Enterprise HA iSCSI SAN for 2011 Network Computing Awards.
